    "description": "The University of Salford wish to procure the services of a Principal Contractor to undertake works at the Clifford Whitworth Library, University of Salford, Salford M5 4WT. Due to the poor condition of the Library\u0027s existing outward opening double entrance doors, the University of Salford is looking to have these defective doors replaced with two new sets of automatic sliding doors installed into the existing door openings; along with a refurbishment of the internal lobby area to include replacement floor matting, suspended ceiling, decorations, LED lighting and the necessary access control and services alterations.\nThe preferred start date for the works based on a quieter time on campus In June 2025 works are estimated to take two weeks on-site. All suppliers are to include for weekend working over 2\nweekends for replacement of the external doors, these weekends are 21st \u0026 22nd June and 28th \u0026 29th June. All suppliers are to include for weekend\nworking over 2 weekends for replacement of the external doors, as detailed in the Schedule of Works and sub-contractors (Horton\u0027s) external door quote. The internal works to the entrance\nlobby can be carried out during normal working hours. It is anticipated that the existing library entrance will be closed off during the construction works, with student and staff access diverted to enter the building through the adjacent Caf\u00e9 doors.",
