Latest data shows that the number of people accessing a direct payment remains at a ratio of 15:85 which has increased over the past 12 months.\nAs part of a wider initiative to research and co-produce opportunities to increase the number of people accessing self-directed support via a direct payment, we have identified that Payroll and Managed Account Services will support people to manage the responsibilities that come with a Direct payment better.\nTherefore our aim is to increase the accessibility and sustainability of Direct Payments by providing access to effective support, whilst maintaining an individual\u2019s choice when opting for a direct payment. In particular, those that need support in managing the additional financial responsibilities.
