The contracts for the provision of an Urgent Access Primary Care Service (Out of Hours, Single Point of Access and Outbreak Management) in Herefordshire and Worcestershire have been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.  For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2024 nor the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award.  The contracts have now formally been awarded  via the PSR Competitive Process.  \nThe contract awards took place after the standstill period successfully concluded on the 13th January 2026.  \nThe procurement was split into two Lots.  \nLot 1 is service provision for the county of Herefordshire, United Kingdom. The contract will be for a period of 3 (three) years with the option to extend for a further 2 (two) year period, plus 1 (one) further year, subject to mutual agreement. The approximate lifetime value of the contract for Lot 1 (Herefordshire) including the available extension periods is \u00a315,225,917.94.\nLot 2 is service provision for the county of Worcestershire , United Kingdom.  The contract will be for a period of 3 (three) years with the option to extend for a further 2 (two) year period, plus 1 (one) further year, subject to mutual agreement.\nThe approximate lifetime value of the contract for Lot 2 (Worcestershire) including the available extension periods is \u00a342,805,938.00.\nThe service commencement date for both Lots is 8th July 2026. Contracts are due to expire on 7th July 2032 (inclusive of the optional extension periods)."
