    "description": "The criminal exploitation of children has become a growing priority in the UK for child\nprotection, police, schools and local support agencies. The need for a national\nstrategy and best practice guidance is a current focus for the Government, and that\nwill unfold during the duration of this contract for a service to support young people at\nrisk of criminal exploitation.\nWithin the borough of Telford \u0026 Wrekin, the Community Safety Partnership creates a\nmulti-functional team to tackle local issues - including Child Criminal exploitation.\nThis collaboration between agencies working with children is essential for ensuring\nchildren receive the best safeguarding and support to promote their wellbeing.\n1.1 In respect of this, Telford \u0026 Wrekin Council are seeking a service provider to work\nalongside our:\n\u2022 Childrens Services CATE Team, that specialises in services for children and\nyoung people who are affected by child exploitation and harm outside of the\nhome; and our\n\u2022 Education Safeguarding function; and our\n\u2022 Community Safety Team\n1.2 Overall, the Council are looking for a provider with the necessary expertise to deliver\nthis specialist service, that forms a key part of the Council\u0027s duty to safeguard our\nchildren and young people from criminal exploitation, enabling them to make positive\nchoices and fulfil their potential for adulthood.",
